Awning Window
An Awning Window is a type of window that is hinged at the top, allowing the window to open outward from the bottom. This design creates an “awning” effect, where the top of the window remains stationary and the bottom swings outward. It is often used in areas where ventilation is needed while providing protection from rain, as the outward-opening design helps keep rainwater from entering the space. Awning windows are commonly used in basements, bathrooms, or areas where the window is positioned high on a wall. They are typically smaller than other window types and can be operated with a crank or manual mechanism.
